To illustrate a few basic concepts of Olex, load the SHELX ins file sucrose.ins which is in the folder 'Sucrose'. There are couple of ways to load a structure:

You can look at the contents of sucrose.ins by typing 'edit' . Any changes you might make in this file will be transferred to Olex once you save this file.

Note: You can type the command prompt at any time, which will appear on the bottom of the main Olex screen.

Proceed if you have a molecule of Sucrose displayed on the screen
